Not really sure how to totally describe my first week in English 1103. It was not what I was expecting at all. Normally English classes are all centered on grammar and how to write; instead this class encourages free writing. This is much more comfortable for me because I usually get stressed about if my writing would be graded badly. I’ve never had a daybook, it’s kind of like a journal where I can just write whatever is on my mind. The daybook is going to be full at the end of this class. This class my even make me want to write instead of writing just being a homework assignment that I hate. I'm pretty excited on what else we will be doing in this class.

I'm with you on the unexpected part, but the science bit almost had me second guessing what I had signed up for. I had been expecting some crazy writing and reading work. This though, was a good surprise.
ReplyDeleteI agree! This is the first English class I have ever been in that looks at writing as a form of expression instead of a means of academic survival. Writing in this new light is pretty inviting and interesting.
ReplyDeleteyah i have high hopes for this class, im not one to enjoy writing, but you never know after this class i may be more comfortable with it.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you the class was definitely not what I was expecting but it seems like it will be fun. I also really like that we are doing things like blogging and creative writing. It's a refreshing alternative to the usual English class.
